Fortunately for the band, Isla Vista was very receptive to ska music in general and Henchmyn in particular. The town had long been the spawning grounds for all types of music - some good, some bad, some terrible. But in the early to mid 1990s, the advent of groups like Sparker, Jimmy Two Times, The Mad Caddies, Henchmyn and others, gave the people something new. Our music found a substantial amount of listeners within the Isla Vista student population, Santa Barbara and Los Angeles areas and in other parts of California, the United States and the world. The music is still upbeat and danceable, and the band continues to maintain and build on its fanbase anytime we play a show or release an album. Give us a try, you won't be disapointed!
